Domestic Violence and the Military Services Analyzing Acts of Violence (webinar materials)

Presented on Veteran's Day, November 11, 2010, by Deborah D. Tucker, Executive Director of the National Center on Domestic and Sexual Violence and sponsored by the Family Justice Center Alliance, this webinar addresses Domestic Violence and the Military Services –– Analyzing Acts of Violence.

The presentation suggests an approach to analyzing acts of violence committed by service members to determine the most appropriate intervention while also ensuring the safety and well being of family members. Debby provides an overview of the theories of what causes domestic violence, discusses the newly emerging issues related to Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), and details how these signature injuries of the current conflicts are impacting the analysis of domestic violence cases in the military context.
